Terebinths of Mamre

I will sing the song of my sacred oak
massive strong trunk canopy of thick leaves
slow growth upward reach and spread
dripping with rain dropping of leaves
rich loam smell in the winter air
I will sing you the wisdom of centuries of growth
the flowering contained in
one nut.
