FEAR
I do not get my fear black clouds rush a red broiler horizon.
Neither sunset nor sunrise cold fire this depleted day or frantic night either the dream
is or is not
beyond the earth and sky.
The hot storm streams away my life –
in it I know nothing my brain addled with the hunkering down.
I am afraid I will cause your pain again.
I am afraid I will blank out.
I am afraid I can not help you nor me not anyone.
No one.
I am afraid mostly
I will come back home and
one of you will not
be here.
